Oscar for "Once" song "Falling Slowly"
In case you were popping popcorn or just not watching last night, I wanted to show you my favorite win and speech of the Oscar evening. "Once" was my favorite movie of the year, and though the film was not nominated, the song "Falling Slowly" from the film was.
Marketa Irglova's acceptance speech, made possible by Jon Stewart's surprising invitation to come back on after being shoo'd away by the obnoxious "time's up" music, was the best of the evening. You'll have to watch to the end of the video to see it after they walk off the first time.

Soooooo great!!! I didn't get to watch the Oscars last night and this is the highlight of my Monday morning. Loved this movie.
I thought you and GcQ when this won - and I only saw about 20 minutes of the Oscars. Total yawnfest and I was not that interested this year. She was very cute and funny! I liked her speech!
I am right there with you. I was talking to my sis (super zoe) about Once, and she told me I had to check this out. I don't see many movies, but I did see this one and LOVE-d it.
