Blast from the past: "Still"
Lionel Richie has another greatest hits album out. I was listening to some of the songs on iTunes, and was laid low by "Still". I had forgotten all about this song that served as the backdrop to some of my most melodramatic crushes as a pre-teen.
As you can see from the pic, I was quite the ladykiller back in the day, what with my helmet o' hair and stylin' Garanimals (or as Shirley Q. Liquor calls them: "Garamminals"). But I did occasionally get my heart broken, and Lionel was there with a cheesy buffet of songs about love lost.
Oh the memories. Take a listen and ride the nostalgia wave ...

You were SO cute! Darling, even!
I am boycotting Lionel until he apologizes for foisting Nicole upon us.
i know exactly what you mean. lionel richie crooned my inner monologue throughout my development before i even knew what love was. i just know what those songs made me feel: once, twice, three times a lady -- still -- sail on --endless love -- hello -- truly -- stuck on you -- lady (you bring me up when i'm down). are you freakin' kidding me?
I can't even listen past the first bars... it's too much for me to handle. I bought the greatest hits 4 months ago. Double album. Yes, CDs.
But, in 6th grade Chad called me up on the phone and played "Stuck on You" in the receiver. I could hardly bring myself to believe he meant it for me.
Of course, nothing ever came of it.
Oh, and I'm glad to see how well you grew into your teeth there.
